It's The Name of The Game

First: Learn How To Prospect

  1. Understand the rules:
    a) Establish: Know Me, Like Me, and Trust Me.
    b) How To Win Friends & Influence People
    "How To Make People Like You" by Dale Carnegie
    1. Become genuinely interested in other people.
    2. Smile.
    3. Remember that the person's name is the sweetest and most important sound in any language.
    4. Be a good listener; encourage others to talk about themselves.
    5. Talk in terms of the other person's interest.
    6. Make the other person feel important—and do it sincerely.
  2. Break The Ice (start the conversation)
    a) Ask for directions - A Recommendation -
    The Score b) Meet, Greet, and Begin the Conversation
  3. Ask Your Power Question
    a) "What do you do for a living?"
    b) Understand The Law of Reciprocity
  4. Ask Your Departing Question
    a) "Gotta card?"
  5. Call Them Back
    a) 48-hours
    b) Set The Appointment Telephone 3-minute message Direct them to your Website Use a CD-ROM, DVD, or Video Sit down and go through your presentation
  6. Present
    a) Let the tools do the talking
    b) Ask for "the sale"
    c) Invite them to your next local event
  7. Duplicate The Process
    a) be willing to do this 100 times
    b) work on getting better at the game
